2014+ C7 Corvette (LT1) Brakes
READY SET STOP! The brakes on the 2014+ C7 Corvette Stingray are large from the factory, but with most high production cars, they're chosen for maximum performance at minimum cost. If you optioned your Vette with the Z51, you were lucky enough to get the vented SANLUIS Rassini pseudo 2 piece rotors, which offers additional significant weight savings and extreme performance at high speeds. This new system uses the industry’s first rotor with a ductile iron hat and gray iron brake plates. This combination allows for a weight saving of about 18 percent and it improves the braking system’s heat-management capabilities. This special rotor uses an I-Beam extension design, and not a solid one like the majority of the brake systems. It is also the only composite rotor on the market that can accommodate a drum in hat, a rotor design in which the internal surface of the hat serves as a brake drum.
Don't be mistaken, although these are nice, there are always room for improvements! Consider our lighter weight 2pc front and rear options with 11lb weight savings as well as stainless steel lines for better pedal response and DOT4+ fluid too. There is no need to mess with "cooling rings". Aside from performance, the more aggressive slotted look behind those nice wheels of yours is a real pleaser too!
