DMS Wide LT4 Tensioner Pulley
Dedicated Motorsports brings you a solution to a not so well known issue. Chances are you may have experienced this issue if you've heard a squeaking/chirping noise from your LT4 supercharger belt or maybe you lost a belt rib and wasn't sure why. The issue stems from the single row roller bearing found in the factory LT4 tensioner pulley. The single row bearing allows for side to side "radial" play in the pulley causing the belt to move back and forth as tension changes. Also you may notice the belt ride on the outward edge of the pulley. This same pulley is found on all the LT4 powered vehicles (CTS-V, Z06 and ZL1).
The solution is a double roller bearing and a wider pulley. This double row bearing adds radial support which helps keep the pulley aligned under load. This combined with the 10mm wider pulley will keep the belt on track and avoids any cut belt ribs due to the belt rolling off the edge of the factory pulley.
