WEAPON-X: V Power Hood [CTS V gen 2, LSA]

Looking to add a more aggressive profile to your CTS V coupe, sedan, or wagon?  The V Power Extractor hood not only adds some muscle to the front of your car, but also provides superior cooling, and allows for more room for larger twin screw superchargers or single plane intake manifolds for turbo kits!

The design
This hood was designed to keep the stock CTS lines unlike the rest on the market and also drastically improve air flow out of the engine bay to expel the massive amounts of heat the blower makes under boost. This is achieved through a large cowl induction vent along the back of the hood plus optional heat extractor vents on the sides of the cowl. It will also allow you to pack the big guns under there as well! I designed the hood in consulting 5Axis and the production renderings were firmed up and the after discussing production with a few manufacturers, I went with one that's been in business for decades in California.  The hood was modeled directly with the stock CTS V hood so it is a direct fit for the bolts, washer lines, nozzles etc.  It is very sturdy with a two part production of an inner and outer hood mold seaming the two halves together.  Fiberglass requires prepping and paint, but the carbon fiber hood is finished to leave exposed or can be painted as well.

The results
Engine temps have been about 5-8* cooler but I'm also amazed at how quickly the IAT1s and IAT2s drop down after being under heavy boost. While at low speeds, the cowl allows the heat to rise out of the back of the hood above the blower. Under faster speeds, this becomes a high pressure area forcing cool air into the engine bay. Also the optional heat extractor vents allow hot air to be drawn out of the bay at any speed or sitting still. You can see and feel the heat pouring out of these vents even after the car is shut off and the radiator fans aren't pushing air.

For estimated current lead times during these industry delays, you may call or message us on the WXM social media pages for average lead times. If you order during a sale period, the lead time can increase slightly depending on order volume. All aero parts are custom order and can not be cancelled as per our cancellation policy once the order is confirmed and accepted.

It is recommended that a new hood trim piece be installed with the new hood, opposed to prying the old one off.  WXM will not be responsible for any damage to the hood during prep or install.  All aero parts require a signature acceptance and need to be opened and inspected for damage at time of receipt.  Damaged products need to be denied at time of delivery and will be replaced by us.  Weapon X Motorsports will not be held responsible for damaged parts that were accepted by customer and customer will have to deal with freight carrier directly for insurance claim.

While the manufacturer is working diligently on the lead times, manpower issues have production around 16 weeks for FG and 32 weeks for CF.
