Monster Clutch: C7 Corvette
Are you finally finding the limitations of the stock clutch and ready to upgrade to hold some serious power? Monster has several options for you!
The first option retains the softness and weight of the factory flywheel assembly by using a modified C7 Corvette LT1 twin disc, which is an already improved upon version of what's in the CTSV/ZL1 by GM. They modify the pressure plate and put ceramic frictions in the setup to hold much more HP. This allows for a factory feeling clutch that keeps shudder at bay and allows for excellent holding capacity. The second option will knock off 11.5 lbs of rotating mass on the crankshaft picking up power and bringing the motor to life! The NVH will be increased slightly and you must run a 5th Gen Camaro slave, but it makes for a really fun car!
Options are below, the "no flywheel" option will replace the factory twin setup with our upgraded one utilizing the factory flywheel assembly in the car. The one that includes a flywheel will have a slave cylinder with it and all of the necessary hardware for the swap.
The S and SC are great for street driven cars, the R is a bit touchy and will chatter from time to time. The TRSC is a great setup that will handle stupid power and keep good drivability. All twins that include our flywheels have hardware, the ones using the factory setup do not require hardware as you don't have to remove the flywheel.
LT1-S (1150 rwhp/rwtq)
This is basically an OEM replacement that has zero issues with high rpm release. Even though it will technically hold more power than the factory unit, most guys are well beyond this if they're buying a clutch.
LT1-SC (1500 rwhp/rwtq)
This setup will hold what it's rated at while providing excellent drivability. I'd really recommend swapping to our flywheel. There are two versions of our flywheels, one is a standard weight (total weight coming in at 55.5 lbs) and the other is a lightweight version (coming in at 51.5 lbs). Even though that doesn't sound like a lot of weight it's all out of the outer edges so it's very dramatic. I'd really recommend not running the lightweight setup on something street driven, this will force the customer to increase the rpm's while they're driving increasing the chances of glazing and chatter.
LT1-R (1800 rwhp/rwtq)
This setup is our most aggressive twin. It will hold what it's rated at but it will chatter from time to time. It's more of an on/off setup - so, make sure guys are aware. We still offer the two weight options but I highly recommend avoiding the lightweight setup.
LT1-RR (2000 rwhp/rwtq)
The cream of the crop so to speak. 2000+ hp capabilities and stock like drivability. There is some gear roll over noise on this setup because all the discs are rigid and not dampened, that said, most guys at this power don't care.
Remote bleeder is $39.99 extra, ask if needed.

Monster Clutch Co. Est. 2007
Well, it’s a funny story really, the story of how Monster Clutch Co. started, that is. The same two guys that brought you the affordable performance shop decided they had enough of the clutch industry.
It seemed, in the clutch industry, that pricing was as far out of hand as any other over-inflated market was. At the time of our introduction to the clutch market there were a few “fly-by-night” clutch companies looking to make a quick buck off the poor consumers that were lead to believe that there stories were true. All of a sudden we were in a market where stock pressure plates and flywheels were king and all of the big name guys were just standing there, with their hands in their pockets, as if the general public was supposed to know any better. We stuck with our guns and we began to dig.
We started setting up accounts in the industry, getting tons of contacts along the way. We contacted two major clutch manufacturing facilities, one of which impressed us most and we got in touch with their engineers. Here is where we had to decide, it was a point in our company that we could either choose to “take the ball and run with it” or just turn around and ask the big name companies to remove their hands from their pockets and buy from them. If you know us, you know that we grabbed the ball!
We spent ten’s of thousands of our dollars in research and development, testing and failing, and then finally, after all the money and heartache we got something, something that no other clutch company could offer, something that we could put our name on and be proud of!
And in the end we bring it to you, the consumer, the guys and gals out there spending hard earned money of your own to get every single ounce out of your six speed car! Hoping that, “this is it; this is the last clutch I’m gonna have to buy for a while.” I’ve heard it time and time again, “I put a -brand x- clutch in my car and it only lasted 2,000 miles, when I called them they said I installed it wrong and don’t want to help out!”
Well, now you don’t have to worry! Every clutch we sell at Monster Clutch Co. has been tested, both in a controlled environment and in the real world. We’ve spent a lot of our own hard earned cash so you don’t have to, we’ve spent a lot of man hours testing, re-testing, making sure that the end product will do everything we say it will and more. We are so confident in our product that we back it with an industry leading 12 month warranty! No other clutch company can come close, no other clutch company can boast what we can, abuse their clutches like we can, and still have them functioning for the consumer that drive their Monsters daily. We do, because we can.
I’m proud to announce the newest member in the clutch market, and to be part of something like this! Something I know will help an entire community, let alone an entire market.
So, give us a call, order one online, or get with one of our dealers/distributors! However you do it, go put a Monster in your car, you’ll be glad you did!
